This cat breed does require more care and attention. Regular bathing, ear cleaning, and temperature monitoring is essential. All that said, the actual time spent doing some of these essential care items is limited and doesn’t require significant effort.
While there are some that come close to being truly hairless, most kittens have fine hair on their face/ears/tails and a velvety texture throughout their body.
From birth, our kittens have varying levels of human interaction. They are loved, snuggled, and provided the best care. Our kittens are frequently handled, and receive exposure to children and other animals. In addition, we work with kittens on litter training, ear cleaning, and nail trimming.
Most notably are our dogs. Our dogs range is size from 85 lbs to 12 lbs. Our dogs also have varying temperaments. So your kitten will learn a wide range of doggie emotions.
***When bringing a new kitten into the home, please be sure to show appropriate caution. Your kitten’s exposure to dogs will not guarantee its safety and will only serve to create a more confident kitten.

In addition, with HCM being so prevalent in the Sphynx breed, all of our cats have been genetically tested. This genetic testing allows us to determine whether a particular cat has markers that would indicate whether they are genetically predisposed to the illness.
